Palace of Condes de Buñol Palace (Chella)

Chella

Palace of Condes de Buñol Palace (Chella)

Stately building considered as one of the symbols of Chella’s growth from the eighteenth century, when following the discovery of the “Abrullador” source, the municipality experienced an important economic and social development, as shown by the buildings at Calle Nueva (New Street).
The main door in the shape of a pointed arch stands out, in which appears the shield of the Counts of Buñol. Inside you can see the typical stratification of the Valencian manor houses. Special character brings the decoration of the noble floor with semi-detached pilasters, the Doric capital and classic lintels. Inside on a large hall, with columns decorated with garlands of fruits and angel heads, you can access the courtyard and the different rooms. Highlights include the Counts’ lounge and the marble fireplace room, with Valencian ceramic plinth. On Constitution avenue (former royal road), we can find the old stables.
