Roser’s Shelter (Millares)

The Roser Shelter is key to understanding the process of Neolithization in the Iberian Peninsula through the expansion of ideas expressed in the Schematic Rock Art of the Early Neolithic. It is a set of Ancient Schematic Rock Art. In the main scene, an anthropomorphic figure is framed by zigzags and other motifs of more or less sinuous parallel strokes that complete the panel, which in this case is located on the shelter’s ceiling. In contrast to the Roser Shelter, it is schematic. In this one, an anthropomorphic figure framed by zigzagging lines is observed, in addition to other parallel, more or less sinuous strokes that complete a panel of symbolic character on the cavity’s ceiling.
