Abrigo de los Chorradores (Millares)

In the Shelter Coat we find a small, but very interesting sample of Levantine Rock Art of the Neolithic. These are three panels in which a scene of honey collection represented on the right end of the coat stands out. A human figurine ascends, with a carrycot on the head, by a rope to a natural hollow that once was all painted with red pigment and that represents the honeycomb. Up to 8 bees, disproportionately large, swarm around the honeycomb and the human figure.
