Path of the Fountains (Anna)

The well known “Camino de las Fuentes” it is a place situated close to the old town and starts at the “El surtidor” (water fountain). It was the first garden developed in the village, where you can find roundabout covered by tiles painted by women artisans and it represents the municipalities architectural features.
The “Camino de las Fuentes” tell us about the times when the Muslims built the Garahamet bridge above the river to facilitate the access to the water births and water mills. It also brings the memories of when young local people used to take pitchers and earthenware jars to the Down’s Fountain (cave) and Up’s Fountain (5 water jets) to bring water to their homes. A walk that will take you to the “Gorgo Catalan” that keeps the enchantment of walking through dense vegetation under the water’s constant murmuring.
