Santa Barbara Festival in Bolbaite

The first weekend of December is the celebration of Santa Bárbara, the patron saint of Bolbaite. The central celebration is the “Despertà” in the early hours of the morning with the music band and popular songs parading through the streets of the town and a large display of fireworks, as well as the pilgrimages up and down to the hermitage with the image of the saint.
