San Antón Festival in Quesa

It is a winter festival celebrated during the weekend near January 17th; usually several towns in the region coincide. From Friday afternoon until Saturday at 7:00 pm, the residents of the municipality bring pine trees to the church square, dragged by tractors or vehicles adapted for the activity. At night, the bonfire is lit after the blessing by the parish priest, and the next day a mass is held in honor of San Antón, our patron saint, and blessed bread is given to anyone who wishes, and finally the blessing of the animals is performed. It is a tradition every year to have a barbecue of sausages and meats in the church square, to enjoy the taste of the good things.
