Navarrés Patron Saint Festivities

Local Tourist Interest Festival of the Valencian Community.

These festivals are held in honor of the Holy Christ of Health and the Virgin of Remedy from October 8th to 12th.

Their origins date back to the year 1746, when the construction of the local church began. The originality of the festivals is found in the Procession of Ascent to the Hermitage. In it, the villagers gather in the Church Square carrying candles. Then the Christ is carried on shoulders to the Hermitage, accompanied musically by the Fomento Musical de Navarrés Band and all the villagers with their lit candles. When the Christ enters the Hermitage, the bells ring and a fireworks display is launched. Another hallmark and attraction for visitors is the Fair that extends along the main avenue of the municipality during those days. People enjoy and spend time, whether in the attractions, the village bars, or the gastronomic and commercial stalls.
